Ways to Make Money Online – Make Money? Really?
So, you’ve heard that there are ways to make money online, have you? How sweet would that be?
You would never have to leave home again in the morning to toss yourself into the morning traffic. There would be no more office politics, water cooler discussion groups and no boss to remind you of how full his applications for employment file is.
On the other hand, you’ve heard that the internet is full of scams. I am here to tell you that everything said so far is true.
There are as many ways to make money online as there are kinds of people. To use an example, some people open brick and mortar businesses (businesses with actual storefronts like your local convenience store) relating to something they love. People who open pet stores or hair salons or greenhouses are like that. Maybe the person that opens a car dealership loves cars. Maybe that person just enjoys the thrill of selling.
Other people on the other hand, open businesses on what they believe will sell. People like that open big chain hardware stores, lets say or franchises in the fast food industry. They may have little interest in paint, wallpaper, bolts or french fries, but they believe their area could support one such franchise.
On the internet, you can do the same although it is best to try to build a business on something you really like and there are many ways to make money online. One of the many beauties of the internet is that it is so huge a market that it really doesn’t matter what you love to do. Doing a few simple things, being patient and hardworking, it is not only possible, but extremely likely that you will build a successful, profitable business. Again, there are so many ways to make money online!
It is impossible to list all the ways of doing business on the internet. I will list a few of the most popular ones and briefly describe what is involved. These are just a tiny number of the ways to make money online:
* First and foremost, the easiest, safest and, above all, FREE ways to make money online is called affiliate marketing. In effect, you are a commission salesperson for someone else. You can sell everything from bird food to jet aircraft. The fastest way to start is by selling eProducts which are products that are totally digital such as eBooks or software and such which are downloadable instantly. You deal through companies such as PayPal or ClickBank or others to ensure your safety and that of your customers.
* You can create your own eProduct and sell it. If you are so inclined, you can create an eBook, lets say and sell it yourself. You can also get others to sell your product by making them affiliates of yours.
* There is a huge market for almost any hard good you might like to promote as long as you know what you are talking about. Whether you are an expert in jet aircraft, hightech medical equipment, cement mixers or anything else, you can shine on the internet. You know what you are talking about and it shows. Make things up as you go and it also will show and so will your sales (or lack of them).
* Huge companies like eBay and Amazon to mention two allow you to build e-stores, virtual shopping malls that you create. Someone goes on the web and does a search. After you learn your craft, people will be drawn to your online store and you get a chance to show off how much you know about the subject and how your products will address the concerns, whatever they might be, of your visitor. If they believe you, they will buy.
Part of this process is for you to start building a list of people to whom you can send regular little blurbs on whatever it is they searched about. It gives you a great opportunity to offer more free information to them, which is always good and also for them to trust you more and more. The more they trust, the more they will buy.
Here is an example:
Lets say you love red roses. You are an amateur expert on red roses. You find out how to create a free website (there’s a link at the bottom), you learn how to attract people to your site (same link) and then you give them free, GOOD information on red roses.
Let’s say their search was on red rose diseases. Your site does the following:
1. Guides them to the the red rose disease section of your site. You tell what you know and maybe you’ve set up a small bookstore on your site. You can go to a place like Amazon and they will help you set up your own little bookstore. In this instance, perhaps you recommend a book on red rose diseases, another on red rose growing might be appropriate and maybe a book on red rose pruning to stop diseases. And so on.
2. You’ve shown you know your stuff. First you “give” them some information, prove you know your stuff and then offer recommendations which they might buy and you get a commission. Easy (and fun!)
3. You might offer them a free “Red Rose Report” that will be emailed to them once a month featuring the latest research in red roses, growing tips, a sale you have on bulbs, winter plant protection and so on.
There is so much to learn and most of it is free! Beware of people who have a quick and foolproof plan for success. There is no quick and there is no foolproof. Take your time, take advantage of the many free sources of information on the net. Learn, experiment, be patient and above all, be disciplined. Do a little every day or twice a week or whatever works best for you.
The only limits in this magic market are those you place on yourself.
